Dr. James Rochefort
Dr. Rochefort, a native of New Hampshire, grew up north of the White Mountains in the small town of Lancaster where his family owned and operated the local independent pharmacy. After graduating high school, Dr. Rochefort attended Tulane University where he received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. His goal was to be a researcher, but after working in a lab at the University of Washington, he decided that career wasn’t for him. “I missed people. I loved all the people that would come through my father’s drug store and interacting with them. Working in research was just too isolating.”
It was at this point Dr. Rochefort began his road towards dentistry and attended Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental medicine where he graduated summa cum laude. He then continued his studies by completing a General Practice Residency in Asheville, North Carolina before returning to practice in New Hampshire. After working in southern New Hampshire for a few years, Dr. Rochefort took over for Dr. Maloney in the fall of 2013.
Dr. Rochefort is a member of the American Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Academy of Laser Dentistry. He also participates in the Great Bay Dental Studies Group as well as a local chapter of the Frank Spear Study Club. “I believe continuing my education is very important so that I am able to offer my patients the most current and comprehensive dental care.”
Dr. Rochefort enjoys cooking, gardening (or at least attempting to), wood working, the outdoors, and spending time with his wife and their cat, Fred.
